Mike and Ligaya both found their way to Santa Clarita at different times – Mike in 1978 and Ligaya in 1984. Fate brought them together in 1987, and although they left the area for a short while. When it was time to start a family, they knew Santa Clarita was the only place to call home. It was here that Garrett and Jessica, their two children, were born in Northridge, but Santa Clarita quickly became their true home. All four of them are proud alumni of Sierra Vista and Canyon High.
Before venturing into the kennel business, Mike had a background in construction and owned SCV Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning. Ligaya, on the other hand, had a strong foundation in bookkeeping and accounting.
In 2011, the family took the leap and moved onto the property to manage the kennels. It didn't take long for them to realize that this was where they truly belonged. In 2016, they made the life-changing decision to purchase the property and the business from their former boss.
Today, Garrett and Jessica are at the helm, managing the kennels and the office while also playing a crucial role in maintaining the property. Jessica's passion for animals drives her to pursue further education – she plans to return to school soon to earn her degree in animal nutrition and then continue her journey to vet school to achieve her DVM.
The entire family is deeply grateful for the trust you place in them by choosing their kennel services. Your furry family members are in excellent hands with this dedicated team.

Since its inception in 1971, Bouquet Canyon Kennels has stood as a testament to a deep-seated passion for dogs and their training. The facility was envisioned and brought to life by none other than Carl Spitz, Jr., who continued the legacy of his father, the legendary dog trainer Carl Spitz, Sr.
